We packed 256 boxes of food -- and each box will feed a family of 4 for a week! The food we packed today will get to Louisiana by Wed. |

Public Action to Deliver Shelter, Inc.
PADS is an organization committed to ending and preventing homelessness in DuPage County. We will prepare and serve a lunch meal for 35-65 people. To prep and cook an entire meal, we can use anywhere from 8-10 volunteers.

We will be working with another group. They will be providing the bulk of the menu, and we will be providing appetizers (chips, dips, salsa, veggies, etc.)
You don't need to stay until 6:00 if you can't, but please try to be there until 3:00 to help prepare and serve the food. That's when we need the most help. |

This is a mini-convention for the I-I District held approximately halfway through the Kiwanis year. This is a great chance to catch up with Kiwanians from around the district and party for a weekend.

Registration is $45, there is a $15 late fee if you register after January 23, 2006. If you want to attend the Saturday Dinner Theatre, you will need to register by January 10, 2006.
Hotel rooms are $80/night plus tax. Rooms will be held for Kiwanis until January 27, 2006.

Reading in the Enchanted Forest, which is on the left wall as you walk into the Children's Area. Pick up the books at the reference desk in the middle of the area.

Gail's Hallmark in Des Plaines has been very generous to the WINGS Resale stores and has donated LOTS of fixtures and display units. They now are in need of help assembling and setting them up!
So.... They are having a set up party!
You do not have to volunteer for the entire time, just what you time you can spare. They would love to have extra hands even for an hour. |
