We will probably be hosting a suite on Friday night with sandwiches, etc. Details to come.
If you'd like to register for any meals, please indicate this in your sign-up. Here are the costs:
Saturday Breakfast: $15/person
Saturday Lunch: $20/person
Saturday Dinner: $25/person
Sunday Brunch: $20/person.
Rooms are available, but we probably won't get one since the convention is so close.

2 Costco sandwich trays (1/2 of one no cheese)

Brownies
Potato chips
Doritos
Fruit Tray
2 trays water
4 12-packs pop, plus 2 left from HE
We left the room in the hospitality room, and nearly all was eaten! A few sandwiches were left and most of the pop (we left the pop though). 2 trays was water was a good call. |

All proceeds to be donated to help children with a wide range of disabilities at Miner School, Gillet Educational Center, Mark Twain, Greenbrier and Westgate Schools
All You Can Eat Pancakes, and sausage and beverages. Come eat pancakes, interclub with Kiwanians, and help out disabled kids. |

Public Action to Deliver Shelter, Inc.
PADS is an organization committed to ending and preventing homelessness in DuPage County. We will prepare and serve a lunch meal for 35-65 people. To prep and cook an entire meal, we can use anywhere from 8-10 volunteers.

Help us make Kiwanis dolls. These dolls are sent to children in the hospital. The dolls are left blank and sent with 2 markers so the children can draw on them. They are also useful for helping the doctors find out where the children hurt. |

We are gathering to work on Kiwanis Doll prep for the memebership drive on March 15th. We need to cut and sew new dolls and possibly hand sew closed already stuffed dolls with tags.
We will likely order pizza or something for dinner as well, so bring a few bucks to pitch in. Thanks! |

Reading in the Enchanted Forest, which is on the left wall as you walk into the Children's Area. Pick up the books at the reference desk in the middle of the area.
Try to get there 5-10 minutes early to make sure you have enough time to get the books and get situated. Thanks! |

3/8 (Sat) 12:30 to 6:00 P.M. – PADS Warming Center—St. Luke’s Church in Downers Grove
We prepared, cooked, and served a taco meal to homeless people. The people were thrilled and ate well!

We read the books provided to children in the “Enchanted Forest.” This week’s theme was “homes.”

II. Upcoming Service
4/5 (Sat) 9:00 to 12:00 noon – Kenneth Young Resale Store--Schaumburg
We will help organize and stock the resale shop. All proceeds earned by the resale store go to Kenneth Young Mental Health Center in Elk Grove Village. The resale shop is located on Roselle Road, by Wise Road. This will count as the “Kiwanis One Day” activity.

III. Fundraising
**Please mark your calendars for September 26th and 27th to help with Peanut Day. We make the most money on Friday, so if it is at all possible for you to take time off work on that Friday, we would greatly appreciate it!!

Had a great showing of our club members at this event!! There were 13 of us: Kim, Julie, Leslie, Charlie, Michelle, Laura, Jenny, Dan, Jerry, Kathy, Denise, Rudy, and Kristin! CONGRATS to Kathy for winning the well-deserved Amador Award and to Jerry for winning the nomination/election to be Lt. Governor of Division 8 Kiwanis in 2008-2009.
