If you are volunteering, consider that you will have to buy a $40 ticket in order to have lunch. Otherwise, you can plan in working from 11am to noon (setting up the auction items), have lunch on your own, and then work from 1pm to 4pm (Auction time). |

We were joined by Ted Sigg, the 2005-2006 Division 8 Lt. Governor and he passed the gavel to us from Park Ridge Morning (in a computer monitor!). |

Come read with us at the Schaumburg Library. We'd like 2 volunteers for this project.
Reading in the Enchanted Forest, which is on the left wall as you walk into the Children's Area. Pick up the books at the reference desk in the middle of the area.
Try to get there 5-10 minutes early to make sure you have enough time to get the books and get situated. Thanks! |

We assist in the Food Market of the People's Resource Center. The Food Market is where underpriviledged families receive groceries. It is set up like a grocery store and the clients can "shop" for their food. We sort food, stock shelves, and assist clients with selecting their items.
Please dress comfortably and casually. Jeans and gym shoes are fine. It can get a little cold in the food pantry in the winter, so please dress accordingly.
Please do not park in the parking lot directly outside of the building. Street parking is available.

The Halloween Party is Village wide and usually a major event with lots of residents, their family and lots of kids! Volunteers will either help with refreshments, help in the Haunted House and/or help escort residents to events and the Haunted House. Yes, we encourage costumes or dressing in Halloween colors but, of course, dress comfortably.
Must sign up by Monday, October 24th - as we need to turn in names of volunteers! |
