We will help the Head Start Kids with their Christmas shopping at a local Wal-Mart. Please try to make it there on time, it's first come, first serve.

- Ages 12 years and older. High school community service certificates available.
- Assist WACO in taking needy preschool-aged children Christmas shopping for themselves and family members.
- The children live in Des Plaines, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Mt. Prospect, Schaumburg and other surrounding northwest suburbs.
- Volunteers must be at Walmart between 7:00 am and 7:30 am to check-in. |

We are competting with other Kiwanis Clubs for the most money raised. The club with the highest amount raised will receive a Traveling Trophy from the Salvation Army.
They will put a sign up at the location with your kiwanis logo and it will say : This location is being sponsored to by The Greater Chicago Club of Kiwanis.
There will be two-hour shifts and I will send out a table of the shifts/people as they are filled.

Come read with us at the Schaumburg Library. We'd like 2 volunteers for this project.
Reading in the Enchanted Forest, which is on the left wall as you walk into the Children's Area. Pick up the books at the reference desk in the middle of the area.
Try to get there 5-10 minutes early to make sure you have enough time to get the books and get situated. Thanks! |
