Every year we all hear that this year’s convention will be different, but this year really will be different. The I-I District Circle K will be joining us in Oak Brook for their annual District Convention.
You may also register on-line at http://www.iikiwanis.org. The on-line registration will be available through Wednesday, February 3, 2010.
All Saturday meals will be joint with Circle K.

Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation is a national organization whose mission is to eliminate pediatric cancer and to provide hope and support to those who are touched by it.
Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation, Inc. (BNPCFI) is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in late 1992 by Kathleen A. Casey, President. The foundation is named in memory of her eight year old son, Barrett "Bear" Krupa, who died after a courageous five and a half year battle with Wilms Tumor, a pediatric cancer.

Reading in the Enchanted Forest, which is on the left wall as you walk into the Children's Area. Pick up the books at the reference desk in the middle of the area.

SCARCE (School and Community Assistance for Recycling & Composting Education) is dedicated to educating people to conserve natural resources and energy, prevent pollution, reduce waste, recycle, and compost organic materials. Through that endeavor, they have established the Book Rescue Center and the Tools For Schools programs to rescue books and other educationally-related materials and provide them to those in need.

Dress: This is similar to a warehouse facility so dress in comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty. In cooler months you might want to wear a sweatshirt until you get moving and the facility warms up. |

Food: Beef and Pasta combo from Elena's. Food left over, but not too much.
Drinks: 24 water, 3 12-packs of Diet Coke, Coke, Sprite. Mostly Diet Coke and water drank
Setup: Got there at 12:30, done by 1:30
Stations: 7 Wii stations, only used 6. Could have fit 8 if needed -- 4 on back wall, 2 each on side walls closest to windows, food on window wall.
Schedule: Ate food 1:30-2:00, bowled 2:00-3:00, most left after 2 or so games |
