| Event Description | SCARCE (School and Community Assistance for Recycling & Composting Education) is dedicated to educating people to conserve natural resources and energy, prevent pollution, reduce waste, recycle, and compost organic materials. Through that endeavor, they have established the Book Rescue Center and the Tools For Schools programs to rescue books and other educationally-related materials and provide them to those in need. http://www.bookrescue.org/ Dress: This is similar to a warehouse facility so dress in comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty. In cooler months you might want to wear a sweatshirt until you get moving and the facility warms up. |
| Additional Description | We will help sort books or make crayons. If you have old cell phones they will collect them. Also they accept book donations. |
