Description |
Mothers of a child under one year of age or expectant mothers who are at least seven months pregnant can come to Breakfast with Baby at The Salvation Army in Des Plaines. Once a month they are served a hot breakfast, receive encouragement from the Bible and from conversations with volunteers. They form friendships with each other while eating together and talking about their kids. But most importantly, they receive a free package of diapers and baby wipes for each eligible child.
Donations of diapers, wipes, gently-used or new clothing, books, toys, and other large baby items such as strollers, cribs, exersaucers, bouncy seats, etc. are needed to aid these families each month.
Volunteers are needed to help sort the baby items, and to help set up the "store" once a month. |

Help us celebrate this monumental achievement by joining us for a three-course buffet style meal, non-alcoholic drinks, and CAKE!
We will also be presenting our installation program for the 2017-2018 Kiwanis Year!
Doors open 11:30 AM
Lunch begins 12:00 PM
Cost: $30/person

Please indicate which shift you can work. We want to make sure we have enough people out on Friday morning and afternoon. So if you could take the day off, or even just a half day, that would be amazing! |
