This is a food bank near Midway. Their motto is "Providing food for Hungry People"

Also, please wear long pants and close toed shoes as we will be working in a warehouse.
They also ask that each volunteer bring an item of canned or non-perishable food to donate. A list of most needed food items is available upon request. |

The Chicago International Dragon Boat Festival blends ancient culture with the excitement of sport and competition, transforming Busse Woods (Ned Brown Preserve) into the host venue for this high-energy day of racing.
You can expect to share with the water from teams representing Fortune 500 companies, and some of the nation's best paddlers as well as many visiting Canadian teams.
In addition to its prime location on and off the water, this festival is proud to support Adaptive Adventures, a charity dedicated to improving the quality of life of individuals with disabilities, through year-round adaptive sports and recreation programs. |

Palatine club is looking for volunteers to help them at the Dragon Boat Races.
Volunteers will be helping hand out snacks during the following shift:
10:15am - 12:30pm

The yellow pins show the locations of the Busse Woods entrance, the parking area and the event location (“Chicago DBF Expo Area”). The location will have a large double tent that will have tables in front. Two of these will be the snack tables. They will be identified with a Kiwanis banner and blue and gold table cloths. LG Tom Kramer will be there to brief the volunteers on procedures
