This is a food bank near Midway. Their motto is "Providing food for Hungry People"

Please try to arrive 10 minutes early. If you are 20 minutes late, they might not let you in. Sorry!
Also, please wear long pants and close toed shoes as we will be working in a warehouse.
They also ask that each volunteer bring an item of canned or non-perishable food to donate. A list of most needed food items is available upon request. |

Description |
Join us for a day of wags, whiskers, and whimsy. Activities include a 2K pet walk, demonstrations, pet vendors, contests, pet photo booth, puppy kissing booth, adoption zone, and more.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Registration (8 people): Checking in attendees and selling contest entries and other packages
- Intersection Monitors (20 people): 2 people at every intersection to cheer walker on and monitor the race
- Water Stations – Run Course (6 people): Fill cups with water, pass the cups out to passing runners, and clean up all discarded cups
- Water Stations – Festival (10 people): Refill pet water stations located throughout the event
- Activities Throughout the Event (36): Photo booth, puppy kissing booth, kids zone, contest, demonstrations, and selling food
- Clean Up Crew (10 people): Cleaning up trash |

We take to the streets of Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates to collect donations in return for peanuts. Everyone please participate! |

Shifts:
Friday 6:30-9am, 3:30-6:30pm (Higgins and Roselle)
Saturday 9am-Noon, Noon-3pm (Schaumburg and Roselle)
Please indicate which shift you can work. The most profitable collection time is Friday afternoon, so please try to make that shift if you can. We really appreciate it if you could take a half day to come and help us out. Thanks!
