| Event Description | We will help the Head Start Kids with their Christmas shopping at a local Wal-Mart. Please try to make it there on time, it's first come, first serve. http://www.waco4kids.org/ Notes - Ages 12 years and older. High school community service certificates available. - Assist WACO in taking needy preschool-aged children Christmas shopping for themselves and family members. - The children live in Des Plaines, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Mt. Prospect, Schaumburg and other surrounding northwest suburbs. - Volunteers must be at Walmart between 7:00 am and 7:30 am to check-in. |
| Additional Description | We took the kids around shopping. There were more organized this year. They had many more wrappers, so it was much for efficient. We also had a mini-social at Steak-n-Shake afterwards. |
