| Event Description | We assist in the Food Market of the People's Resource Center. The Food Market is where clients receive groceries. It is set up like a grocery store and the clients can "shop" for their food. We sort food, stock shelves, and assist clients with selecting their items. Requirements: You are 13+ yrs old You can stand for 3 hours and lift 25lbs (3gal of water) You are willing and able to help where needed in the pantry each time you volunteer You enjoy working both indoors and outdoors Please dress comfortably and casually. Jeans and gym shoes are fine. It can get a little cold in the food pantry in the winter, so please dress accordingly. Please do not park in the parking lot directly outside of the building. | Additional Description | During Covid-19, volunteers pre-pack bags of groceries, unpack and stock items, and place groceries in clients’ vehicles. Clients do not enter the "store." We have 4 spots reserved. I need to give them names and email addresses so volunteers can sign volunteer agreement before serving. |
