Description |
We assist in the Food Market of the People's Resource Center. The Food Market is where underpriviledged families receive groceries. It is set up like a grocery store and the clients can "shop" for their food. We sort food, stock shelves, and assist clients with selecting their items.
Please dress comfortably and casually. Jeans and gym shoes are fine. It can get a little cold in the food pantry in the winter, so please dress accordingly.
Please do not park in the parking lot directly outside of the building. Street parking is available.

Kiwanis Night at the White Sox game vs Texas Rangers, game start 7:10pm.
It is Mullet Night, and there are post-game fireworks set to 80s music. Feel free to invite friends. Children are welcome.
We will be getting Outfield reserved tickets for $16 (normally $26).
The pre-game patio party is optional for $32 (normally $42).
The pre-game patio party is being offered again this year. The patio starts 90 minutes before the game and lasts 30 minutes after the scheduled start time. The menu includes all-you-can-eat catered by Bertucci Buffet, featuring bbq ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, Cajun chicken, fried chicken, side salads, wine, Pepsi, and Miller beverages.
When you sign up, please indicate if you want a game ticket and patio party or just the ticket.
Sign up by May 15 so we have time to place the order. |
