This year we will be helping with Sgt at Arms since it is so close. We walk through the halls after curfew to make sure all the Key Clubbers are in their rooms.
They will need us there at approximately 10:30 PM each night, and we can expect to stay until 1-1:30 AM. We are hoping to have 4-5 people each night, and more people tend to be needed on Saturday night. When you arrive, please look for John or Skyla Hall.
When you sign up, please indicate which nights you can work. Also, there is space available at the hotel to stay overnight if you need.
We also have the opportunity to help judge the competitions (scrapbook, talent show, etc). This is Saturday from 2-4:30 PM. If you are interested in helping with this, please indicate that and sign up by Friday afternoon.
Note: We really could have gotten there at 11:30 since curfew didn't start until midnight.
On this one day, all of Kiwanis around the world will be doing a service project.
We will be working with other Kiwanis Family members on a project for Kiwanis One Day. We will be working with the Wheaton Kiwanis, Warrenville Kiwanis, and two Key Clubs to clean up the grounds around the Wheaton-Warrenville schools.
We are also going to bring fresh produce to PRC as part of Kiwanis One Day
The annual Division 8 Bowl-A-Thon. Come have fun and raise some money for Spastic Paralysis with us!
Cost is $16/person
Cost includes 2 plus hours of bowling and shoe rental, pizza, veggie tray and dip, chicken wings, chili-cheese nachos, and italian meatball medley with mushroom caps and green peppers. Beverages are additional and will be available for purchase.
Lunch will be served at 1 pm, Charlie's cooking the meat!!!
When you sign up, please indicate if you need a vegetarian option for the main course (the meat will be burgers, chicken, hot dogs, and brats) and this will be provided by the social committee along with the pop/water, but if you want any other beverages, you are welcome to bring them.
Also indicate what game(s) and what food you're bringing based on the list below.
We ask that people bring a dish to pass (or if you've got a significant other in the club or that you're bringing, you only have to bring one dish) based off of the list below.
Fruit: Pineapple was most popular, not much else needed.
Suggestions: Assign categories and numbers for people to choose (we need 2 side dishes, chips, potato salad, 2 desserts, etc). We had a lot of overlap and a lot of people signed up for cake, then switched when other people put they were bringing cake. Also, don't have everyone bring food -- it's too much!
