The packets you'll be preparing have been developed by food scientists who worked together from Cargill, Pillsbury, General Mills and Archer Daniels Midland. This one packet provides six nutritionally-complete servings to feed the hungry here in DuPage County and starving children in Nicaragua.
You'll be amazed at how quickly you can make a difference. You'll package 100 to 150 meals per hour! This is great because there are so many needy and starving people all over the world. Many are dying every day, predominately among children under the age of five?
As a volunteer driven organization, we strive to be efficient managers of all monies received. We rely on donations to cover the expenses for the food you'll package. Our production costs are just 25 cents per meal, or $1.50 per bag of 6 meals. As a volunteer you will package between $25 and $40 worth of food per hour.
We raise all of our own funds with minimal administrative or marketing costs. Unfortunately, when we run out of funds, we are forced to shut our doors. Because of that, we ask that you please contribute as much of the costs as possible so that we can continue to purchase ingredients for packaging to prevent the starvation of innocent children.
We trust your time packaging food with us is deeply satisfying and that you'll come again and again. On behalf of the hungry children of the world, "Thank you!"
